What the website records
Page visits, book selections, reading-preview opens, PDF clicks, share actions, and scroll milestones in the online reader. Each event includes its time, page, referral hostname or campaign label, broad device category, and approximate country when the hosting service supplies it. Query strings and full referral URLs are not stored.
A random session identifier is kept in your browser tab’s session storage. It expires after 30 minutes without a tracked action. It is not a name, account identifier, or cross-site profile. New tabs, devices and sessions can be counted separately.
What the analytics does not collect
It does not store visitors’ names, email addresses, IP addresses, precise location, or browser fingerprints. The site uses its hosting service’s sign-in headers to protect the owner dashboard and exclude the owner’s signed-in visits; those headers are not saved in analytics.
Your choices
Analytics respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. You can also disable it here for this browser. The preference is stored locally. If browser storage is unavailable, your preference cannot be saved. Changing your preference does not delete past anonymous statistics, which cannot reliably be linked back to you.
Retention and access
Only the site owner can open the analytics dashboard. Reports include at most 90 days of event data. Older events are removed when another analytics event or dashboard report is processed. There is no retrospective tracking of visits before this feature was added.
The optional reading list
If you join the reading list, the website stores your email address, signup time, and the version of the consent statement you accepted. These records are separate from anonymous analytics and are visible only in the owner’s private dashboard. Email addresses are not yet verified; saving a request does not send a confirmation email or activate automatic newsletters.
Your signup remains until you unsubscribe. The private unsubscribe link shown after a new signup removes your email from the reading list. Keep that link somewhere safe. Its secret token is stored only as a hash on the server. It is not included in analytics. The form has a hidden spam field and a short-term signup limit.
Reading preferences
Your language, motion preference, reader text size, evening mode and saved chapter stay in this browser’s local storage. The remembered chapter is not sent as an analytics event. Clear the site’s browser data to remove these settings.
Hosting and sign-in
This website is hosted by ChatGPT Sites. Its hosting and sign-in services may process their own technical logs under their own policies. When access is private, visitors must be authorized before they can read the site.
